Other Printing Projects
While I have been 3D modeling for over 10 years, printing has been a new endeavor for me. These are my personal projects that I have modeled for personal projects. These are Specifically practical projects, Art projects will be kept in another section. This list will continue to expand as I become more experienced with my printer and its capabilities
Router Mount
After building my new PC I took the time to re-wire everything around it to keep it neat. I had to use adhesives since I’m in an apartment building which posed an issue with my router. I have limited space that I can work with and the router was impossible to mount anywhere given its shape. So I made a device that could fit into the routers mounting holes and act as an adhesive mount plate. This is the design i came up with, the reason it has holes is for ventilation reasons. The router is mounted upside down and heat rises through the vents. having a solid piece would not only restrict airflow but would cause the plastic to warp over time
Blue Yeti Cable holder
I love my yeti Mic, but I hate usb-mini. It is one of the worst cable connectors I have ever had to deal with on a regular basis, and its astounding that yeti are still using it on their microphones. I have a major issue with my microphone plug coming undone frequently due to the female end on the mic becoming lose over time. to make up for this I designed a simple puck that sits on the end of the mic that holds the cable in place. Since then I have had no issues with the wire coming unplugged
its not the most sophisticated design in the world, but that’s because I simplified it, at first I had the plate attached to the open screw holes on the side of the mic, but later found out that simply having a snug fit would keep the puck on the end, with the added benefit of it being more durable. to my surprise It stays on there quite well. so well in fact, I was un able to pry it off when I was attempting to get pictures of the design
