Our machine shop replaced its screw gun and was getting complaints about how loud it was. I took on the task of creating a print that would redirect the air that was ejected out of the top away from the operator to reduce the noise created. because of the awkward shape of the screw gun and the limitations of 3D printing, it took a few iterations to get it to work just right but in the end I was able to reduce the sound output from 80-90 db to less than 60 db, which is ambient levels for the shop
